Ten years after its original creation, Jánnos Eolou reimagines CORPUS AETERNUM in a new form, bringing together mixed choir, symphonic orchestra and Christos Papanikolaou’s imagery in a video art installation. Inspired by Hippocrates’ holistic vision of the human body, the work becomes a contemporary reflection on the body not as an isolated organism, but as a living microcosm shaped by nature, society, memory and time — continually facing its mortality while striving to transcend its limits.

ICARUS is a new full-length work for string orchestra and piano by Jánnos Eolou, conceived as a cycle of 18 symphonic poems that transform the ancient Greek myth into a contemporary musical and dramatic journey. Rather than retelling the story literally, the work reflects on love, ascent, vulnerability, risk, collapse and renewal, presenting Icarus as the human body suspended between earth and sky — fragile, exposed, yet still choosing flight.

TANGOS OF A FRAFILE WORLD | Recording / Release / Live Performance – In Development
Tangos of a Fragile World is the second chapter in Jánnos Eolou’s “Tango Book of Music,” following Tangos of the Magic Reality and continuing his manifesto of Magic Realism in Music. Written for string orchestra, piano and bandoneon, its 18 Tango Symphonic Poems form an approximately sixty-minute cycle reflecting the passions, tensions, contradictions and wounds of today’s world. Tango becomes a dramatic language where intimacy meets violence, tenderness confrontation, desire solitude, while its pulse and physicality expand into a symphonic vocabulary. Rather than literal political commentary, the work explores vulnerability, anxiety, resilience, memory and the search for beauty and connection.
